The BT Bantam series are small, compact spindles suitable for drilling and milling with small diameter tools when the maximum speed of the conventional mill or VMC is not fast enough. Collet run-out within 8 microns combined with four ultra-precision angular bearings results in strong spindle rigidity. These spindles exhibit excellent performance for a relatively low cost. Available in two models, each with a particular top end speed rating and tool capacity.
CAUTION - The Bantam series spindles are designed to operate smoothly at high speeds for long hours of continuous drilling or milling when coupled with an appropriately adjusted air line kit (filter/regulator/micro-mist oiler). We highly recommend using the manufacturer's air line kit, as this item includes a special micro-mist (atomizing) lubricator not usually found on most commercially available air line kits. Use only the manufacturer’s recommended spindle lube oil – Chevron Superla 9.
